This summary reflects the findings for the ten key indicators regarding socio-economic, environmental and political issues. They are based on six-month opinion polls conducted twice a year with respondents over 18 in Kosovo.
Public Pulse Summary X coordinate XIII reports of findings from opinion polls conducted with 1,306 surveyed from October 21st to November 3rd 2022 throughout Kosovo, with equal numbers of men and women, as well as all ethnic groups living in Kosovo.
The data and indicators from the opinion poll are broken down according to ethnic and gender affiliation in order to provide detailed information on differences in perceptions of the developmental challenges facing citizens in Kosovo.
The November 2022 Public Pulse poll urged respondents to choose one of the most pressing problems facing Kosovo currently.
“Finds show similar concerns about major problems perceived in April 2022: unemployment (29.9%), poverty (21%) and prices of essential supplies (17.4%) are perceived as the three main problems in Kosovo. Electricity supply (4.3%) and health (4.1%) were among the five main problems identified by respondents. Significantly, compared to April 2022, the rate of those who considered corruption as a major problem (5%) has dropped to 3.6 percentage points in November 2022, where only 1.4% of respondents consider corruption as a major problem”, the report says. Detected data according to ethnic affiliation showed that Kosovo Serbs considered supply of electricity (20.5%), interethnic relations (11.9%) and urban space problems (10%) as the three most pressing issues, while for other Kosovo communities the biggest problem was poverty (22.5%), followed by unemployment (18%) and prices of essential supplies (16.5%).
As in the previous poll, for Kosovo Albanians unemployment (31.6%), poverty (21.5%) and the prices of essential supplies (18.3%) were three major problems in Kosovo.
Declassified data by gender shows that males and females are mainly concerned about unemployment, poverty and the prices of essential supplies.
“-like with the latest opinion poll, women were more concerned about unemployment (31%) than men (28.9%). Both women (20.6%) and men (21.2%) seem to be equally concerned about poverty. However, women were more concerned about the prices of essential supplies (19%) than men (15.7%)”, the data published in public Pulsin says.
