He stressed that if mutual recognition has failed as part of the “Plan A”, Kosovo should focus on the insistence on ratification of the agreement, along with Anex, towards the “plan B”.
According to Hoxhaj, the agreement would make sense if it was ratified in the municipalities of Serbia and Kosovo, agreeing to provisions that speak of recognition of passports, seals and sovereignty.
The basic agreement is controversial, but Article 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, which speaks of UN principles, equality of sovereignty, where the recognition of passports and seals, of Kosovo's membership in the organisation, which Serbia will not represent Kosovo, would make sense, if it were ratified in the municipalities of Serbia and Kosovo”, Hoxhaj declared at KTV Interactive on Thursday.
Opposition party MP added further that signing the agreement is a matter of days, and that process, according to him, includes three situations.
The first “is the text of the agreement and the plan as part. The second situation is the process and it will need an imagination how to interpret the agreement, and the third situation is the geopolitical situation”, he said.
According to Hoxhaj, the problem remains the article of the agreement stressing that the “parties should pass the past”.
