Haradinaj: We criticize Kurt's governance, but we support the European proposal.

The AAK leader, in a statement for Online Economy, has said he considers the proposal for normalisation of relations with Serbia to be a major achievement for Kosovo. Although he believes the agreement could have been even better with “another prime minister”.

While government officials and some analysts are repeating that the agreement expected to be signed on March 18th in Ohrid is recognition “de facto” of Kosovo from Serbia, Haradinaj goes further.

The agreement also has de-jure recognition on the international plan, but does not have bilateral recognition with Serbia. This achieved is thanks to our allies and certainly reflects the realities in the region and Kosovo. This is a major achievement of our allies, understood by reflecting the reality of Kosovo but also of Serbia, but also of global developments, as such achieved is a major achievement for Kosovo”, Haradinaj said.

“Alance and I support the deal known as the Franco-German proposal, which is a huge achievement of our allies, especially with the help of America, with which we are separated from Serbia. Critics have had and we have about the way the dialogue process was managed by Prime Minister Kurti, as we have criticism of governance in the country, but we support the Franco-German plan, supported by America”, Haradinaj said.

But the AAK leader believes Kosovo has been able to get more.

There have certainly been other options, with another cabinet and prime minister, but under the circumstances under which we are like Kosovo, it is a major achievement”, Haradinaj said.

In the end, the AAK leader has voiced confidence that the agreement will be ratified in the Assembly.
