Central Election Commission deputy (KQZ), Valmir Elezi, has confirmed that the deadline for the Certificate of political subjects has expired on Monday.
According to him, 11 parties will not be participants, meanwhile, 5 yes.
He said that from March 9th to March 13th, political subjects could report the CEC about their participation in the elections.
“Based on deadlines set by the Central Election Commission, starting on March 9th and until today, March 13th, registered political parties have been able to report to the CEC that they do not want to participate in the 23 April elections in these municipalities”, Elez told EO.
He also stressed that 11 parties within the deadline have declared they would not participate in these elections.
“Within this deadline, the Central Election Commission has accepted statements of non-participation by 11 political parties: Diaspore Democratic Party, New Democratic Initiative of Kosovo, Pochret za Gora, Socialdemocraticska Unija, Word, Ashkalije Party for Integration, Kosovaki Nevi Romani Party, Democratic Party of Unity, Jedinvena Goranska Partija and Democratic Kosovo Türrk Partis and the Ballist Party”, Elezei said.
Meanwhile, 5 parties have declared they will be part of the elections with candidacy, where LVV PDK will participate.
“also, from 9 to 13 March, deadlines have been developed for confirmation of the certificate of political subjects, the process conducted in November and December last year. Within this deadline we have received confirmation announcement from all certified political subjects: The Mitrovica Civic Initiative, the Democratic Party of Kosovo, the Kosovskih Srba Party, Sladjana Pantovic (independent candidates) and the Vetevendosje Movement”, Elesi said.
