Former Bulgarian delegation accused of spying, elected Moscow-backed group chief

Nikolay Malinov, who is also the leader of the pro-Russia lobby group in Bulgaria, known as the National Movement Russofile, and racing for deputy in the upcoming months' parliamentary elections in Russia, was elected by unanimous vote as president of the MDR during the congress of this movement, held in Moscow on 14 March.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, deputy head of the Russian Parliament's Lower Chamber, Konstantin Kosachev, ideologist Alexandr Dugin and oligarch Konstantin Malofeyev attended the event.
Russian President Vladimir Putin and Russian Patriarch Kiril sent a message of congratulations to this convention.
