Borrell talks to Blinken: The right time for Kosovo, Serbia to take steps forward

The European Union's High Representative for Foreign Policy and Security, Josep Borrell, and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, have said it is the appropriate <x0-second time for Kosovo and Serbia to take important steps forward in the interest of integration of the two countries into the European Union” -- one day before the Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti's meeting, and Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vucin, in Ohrid, North Macedonia.
In a telephone conversation Friday, as shown in the EU media report, Borrell and Blinken focused on the meeting, which will be held Saturday between the two leaders.
“Borell announced the latest developments regarding the process of normalising reports between Kosovo and Serbia, he stressed his expectations from the Ohrid summit and underlined the importance of progress in dialogue for European aspirations for both sides. He has expressed appreciation for the continued US support for the EU's efforts, especially for the Agreement towards normalisation of reports and the ongoing process, for the summit that High Representative will hold with President Vuciq and Prime Minister Kurti this Saturday. Both agreed that this is the right time to take important steps forward in the interest of Kosovo's European integration and Serbia”, said the communique.
Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, and Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, will meet on March 18th in Ohrid, North Macedonia. The meeting under dialogue between the two states will be mediated by the European Union, senior representative Josep Borrell and emisari Miroslav Lajcak. Discussions Saturday are expected to focus on reaching an agreement on the implementation plan for the European proposal, which is expected to also determine the deadlines for implementation of points and actions to be taken. The two leaders, according to the EU, were hired on February 27th for containing European proposal
