The trial of former KLA war crimes shareholder witness: This judgment is leading to brother murder

Witnesses Nuhi Office and Sej Sej Sej Sefteshi on Monday have completed their testimony in the war crimes trial under way against former KLA fighter Remzi Shala.

Shala by the Special Prosecutor is charged that in June 1998, along with several other KLA members, because of the suspicion that Haxhi Pertesh was collaborating with Serbian forces, have gone to his house, deprived him of freedom.

A few days later, he was found dead near the street in his village of Duhdhl, Suhareka.

Nuh the Office while testifying said this review is going towards “the brother-in-law”.

I've come with a lie even at the request of the damaged party, and I've felt morally I've come to testify to this case for what I know. I've seen that the trial is coming out of the tracks, getting stained by people, even going towards the brother-in-law” Office said.

Noah the Office has denied the accused's statements that the brother could have killed his brother.

It's never been true that someone could take his brother down. It is said here that Haxhi Pertesh has questioned his brother Sejdiu. How is it that two days before the death of Hadzi, Sejdiu Pertesh, was released by the Kosovo Liberation Army? How come after two days of questioning Sejdiu-haji, when he was released two or three days before Haxhi's death? - It's just a man's stain” the office says.

But all these statements, Blerim Mazrek, the defendant's lawyer, questioned them.

The judicial process in this case has been around 7 years. If this witness has really come for justice, what has the same question been? ”- has stressed Mazreku.

Reactions came from the accused himself, Remzi Shala.

Why didn't he come to 2016 when he was invited here to the session? I've heard once that this was invited”- said Shala.

Following the trial to testify was Sadie Pertesh, brother of the deceased.

But the same refused to answer the accused's questions, stressing that all were said during the trial hearings.

The witness's refusal to respond ended with remarks given by Blerim Mazreku and his defender, Remzi Shala.

The next session in this case, where the final word will be given, was scheduled for March 9, 2023.

The Special Prosecutor is accusing Remzi Shala of committing war crimes against the civilian population.

According to the indictment of October 19th 2016, set up by local prosecutor Haki Gecaj, Remzi Shala is charged that in June 1998, along with several other KLA members, they were deprived of the Haji Pertesh freedom, which several days later was found dead near the street in the village of Duhdhl.

After being held several days in an unidentified location on July 1, 1998, Haxhi Pertesh's lifeless body has been found near the road near the centre of the village of Duhdil” said in the special Prosecution device.

Remzi Shala has been sentenced to 14 years in prison, while the Court of Appeals through a verdict has eased her sentence to 10 years in prison. After that, the Supreme Court has annulled those two judgments by turning the case to zero, reports Callo.
