The situation on the eastern front lines of Ukraine is becoming difficult, President Voldymyr Zelensky said.
Ukrainian troops are facing a very difficult situation in three very controversial cities in Donnetsk khhmut, Vuhledar and Lyman Zelensky said.
The United Kingdom Defence Ministry said Ukrainian soldiers are being isolated in Bakhmut to fight.
The head of Russia's notorious Wagner group said there are fierce battles for any road in some areas of the city.
Russian forces have been trying to take over Bakhmu for months, making that battle longer since Russia invaded Ukraine almost a year ago, reports the BBC.
Getting the area is important for Russia to advance its goal to control the entire Donba region in the country's east. That would also imply a turning point in Russia's fate after losing ground in Ukraine in recent months.
