North Korea launched at least one unidentified ballistic missile in the waters off the eastern coast of the Korean Peninsula, according to South Korean Chief of Staff.
The Japanese government also issued a statement Sunday, saying North Korea launched a suspected ballistic missile.
Japan's Coast Guard issued an alarm for ships, advising them to observe further information.
The agency also warned ships not to approach potential items that fall and report any relevant information.
