Limaj: The Franko German plan offers nothing to Kosovo, postpones the crisis for 10 years

Social Democrat Initiative Chairman Fatmir Limaj has negatively praised the plan proposed by the European Union for normalising Kosovo relations.

The one in “Debat Plus” has said that this proposal offers nothing to Kosovo and that according to him it takes nothing from Serbia.

He has indicated that if such a plan is accepted it would create more negative than positive effects.

Limaj also criticised the opposition for the way they are approaching the topic of Association.

I understand Albin Kurti or this Government, so I have the problem with this opposition very easily overcome. First the European plan, Kosovo offers nothing, Serbia gets nothing, postpones the crisis for 10-20 years and is not guaranteed what will happen. It's a big risk to the country. I'm about to go to dialogue, but in this situation, if taken for good is a serious position for Kosovo”, he has said.

For all this situation created in relation to Serbia, Limaj has blamed Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti.

Limaj has said that the government has done population actions that, according to him, are now costing Kosovo.

I need to see how we got here in the last two years. We've been trying to market the government not to stop the referenda, don't stop the elections, it's been the population, leave the issue of license plates. What you should go do shares for plates if you have a comprehensive agreement”, he said.

Limaj has said he and his party are flatly opposed to establishing the Association of Serb majority municipalities.
We remember that in the last election of 2021, Limaj's party failed to assume any MP position in the Kosovo Assembly.
