Number increase, more than 20,000 casualties from earthquake in Turkey, Syria

The number of victims from the devastating earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria has exceeded 20,000. Meanwhile, the total death toll in Syria rose to at least 3,192, including 1,930 in areas controlled by rebels in the northwest, according to the civil protection group of White Helmet and 1,262 deaths in parts controlled by the Syrian government, according to Syrian state media.
While in all territories affected in Syria, the number of injured increased to 5,158, with 2,258 in areas controlled by the government and 2,900 in areas controlled by the rebels.
At least 71,290 people have been injured in Syria and Turkey, according to figures by the Turkish government, White Helmets and Syrian state media.
