It all started Monday when the American president arrived unannounced in Ukraine's capital, Kiev his first trip to the country since the beginning of the occupation and a form of support for the Ukrainian people.
The secret trip was planned for months and included Mr. Biden traveling for 10 hours on a train from the Polish border.
Upon arriving in Kiev, he was seen walking through town with Volodymyr Zelensky as air attack sirens were heard.

The American president promised to provide Ukraine with a new military aid package worth $500m, as well as to announce more sanctions against Russia.
After talks between the two presidents, Zelenskiy said the pair discussed long-range weapons in a highly productive “discussion”.
Mr. Biden also had some strong words for Vladimir Putin, saying the Russian president had thought Ukraine was a weak “and the West was split” But he was the wrong “”.

The following day, Mr. Biden held talks with Polish President Andreze Duda in Warsaw before being expected by large crowds at Royal Castle.
In a grand speech, he said Putin had expected his enemies to resound “when he invaded Ukraine, but was met with “the iron will” of its allies.
“I can report: Kiev stands strong, Kiev stands proud, stands high and, most importantly, stands free,” he said, cheering on the crowds.

Today, he ended his tour by meeting with Bucharest's nine leaders all countries on the eastern NATO wing.
The US president later said it was the one that “pushed the most” to expand NATO to many of those around the table today.
