Former VV candidate Alban Krasniqi, except a member aboard the “Trepca”, is named in a position even in the KEK

Alban Krasniqi, who exercises the task of board member of the Central Public Company “Trepca”, received a similar position at another company about three weeks ago.
It has also been named Secretary of the Board's Task Office at the Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK), reports “Justice Vow”.
Krasniqi, the former union for the Vushtrri municipal amendments in the 2017 elections, in the position of a member of the Board of “Trepca” was appointed by the Kosovo Government in 2021.
Contacted by “Justice Trust”, the Agency for Prevention of Corruption (APK), have said exercising these two functions is not a conflict of interest, according to the Law on Prevention of Conflict of Interest.
“With the Law's provisions for the Prevention of Conflict of Interest, “the high official is not prohibited from simultaneously exercising the function of board member in a” company, they said. APK for “Justice Vow”.
But according to this Agency, this law envisions certain restrictions around pay.

According to the Agency, Alban Krasniqi could exercise these two positions, but pay can only be obtained for the position of Public Enterprise Board Secretary at KEK.
Contacted by “Justice Vow”, Krasniqi has refused to comment on the two positions he is holding at the same time.
Krasniqi has been elected KEK Board secretary after Riza Dembogaj's dismissal. While the latter had accepted the post of Board Secretary at KEK in November 2022.
The task manager of the company's chief executive chief “Trepca”, Enis Abdurrahman contacted by “Justice bet”, said that “Trepca continues to owe KEK, why by now “90% of debt”, have already managed to pay”.
Otherwise, at the end of October and early November of this year, workers of “Treps” went on hunger strike, demanding no delay in wages, dismissal of the company manager “Trepca”, health insurance and meeting conditions for work.
This strike was interrupted after 10 days, as miners had a meeting with several status deputies, representatives of the Enterprise Board “Shrapca” and the Ministry of Economic Development, where they have also made pledges to implement their demands. /Betimy for Justice
