The Special Court is expected to decide on the SPAK's request for review of the security measure “house arrest” for former Albanian Prime Minister Sali Berisha.

Berisha's lawyers have arrived at the tribunal's premises, reports Top Channel.

Last day, the Anti-corruption Court could not express itself on the SPAK proposal that it wants under house arrest for Berisha.

Irena Gjona decided to think until Thursday when she was due to come up with a verdict. Until today at 1500 p.m., the time is under scrutiny even for the former prime minister suspected of corruption and as valuable to his two defenders, who have not discovered the next move.

But time was not limited to Sali Berisha's lawyers, who at a previous session called for additional deadlines to get acquainted with the evidence. But time is also precious for the judge, who asked for additional time to come up with a decision on the SPAK's demand that have hardened his stance and insisted house arrest for the former prime minister.

In three hours of trial, after another body dropped its defense request for exemption from the issue of Irena Gjona, the same request was repeated. But this time lawyers found the judge's refusal to make a public trial

“We continued with the trial, asked the court to take him to the Constitutional Court, which has left the case unpunished. With Rama's permission, the trial continued, for all these violations and fall demands. Even this expulsion request will fall. The law says when the request for exemption is established, the Court cannot provide trial. These are all going down, so let's go. We've presented the arguments to the judge”, Gjokutaj said.

Lawyers insisted there are no circumstances for SPAK to toughen the stance. Although the defence did not spare criticism of the court, the SPAK did not have a prediction of what verdict the court could come up with Thursday.

If the court approves house arrest, the new measure is executed within the day after an order that SPACE delegates to police.
