Krasniqi: Consultative meetings have no effect on Association draft, PDK positions are clear

Democratic Party of Kosovo Chairman Memli Krasniqi has said today that she has not participated in the consultative meeting invited by President Vjosa Osmani, because she considers such meetings have no real effect on the issue of draft Association status. During its stay in Ferizaj, Krasniqi has said it is important that the Association of Serb majority municipalities give an official position on Kosovo's prime minister, who, according to him, still has no stance.
Krasniqi said the stance and reserves of the PDK on this subject, from preamble to the latest provisions of the draft presented, are clear and concrete.
With all due respect for the president and the position she exercises, I didn't attend the meeting yesterday because this was just a consultative meeting that doesn't give any real effect on the issues she's supposed to be discussed. It is undoubtedly up to the institutional leaders to take on the responsibilities that belong to you, but it is a little bit more likely that they actually create situations where even our impacts will have an effect. I don't believe it's up to us as political leaders to be launched into the role of analysts and to discuss what's good and what's wrong, without having the opportunity to infect it in any form a result related to the question of draft Association status”.
“We, to this day, still do not know the position of Kosovo's prime minister in terms of the association statute. Therefore, he is the first to have the constitutional, institutional, legal responsibility to show his true attitude and not create himself, often through the deputy prime minister or others, saying we have accepted. It is important that the one who has the responsibility to take action to clarify his position, because our position as the PDK is clear”, he stressed.
