Czech police earlier said several people were killed and dozens were injured by shooting at a university in Prague.
Police said the armed person was “eliminated” following the attack at Charles University, in Jan Palach Square in the centre of town.
Czech media reported that at least 11 people died in the incident, including the armed person.
University staff were told to focus “instead”, barify themselves into rooms and turn off the lights.
