Chairman of the United Trade Union of Science and Culture ( Niteman Jasharaj has said that the year 2023 has been a difficult year for the education sector, according to him, has preceded the lack of dialogue with the central level.
Jasharaj in an interview for Online Economy has said the government led by Albin Kurti has a wrong attitude towards trade unions and that the executive has committed to shut down trade unions.
He said that despite all the time the SBASK has insisted that there be meetings with the education minister, the same has never been met with their demands.
“Viti 2023 has been too difficult for us, there has been a lack of dialogue without our guilt. We sent Mrs. Nagavci letters and letters and sent her no coffee cards but to sit down because we have our people in school, we have the mayors, and they inform us about school matters. Nagavci hasn't once found out with the reasoning that there are many commitments, and I'm saying from September last year until December we had a 15-minute solemn meeting for the sake of the vice president of the American Teachers' Union and we had a meeting with the minister, but that meeting was without great restraint. The lack of meetings not only with us but also with parents has obviously affected this”, he said.
The SBASK chairman has said education workers, but also other sectors, despite being disappointed with the Law for Pays, have been even more disappointed when the government has decided that the wage cofficiency will rise for 2017 from 105 to 110, and not as many union demands as the coffirer was at least 130 euros.
The other bad is that education workers and not only, but also other sectors have expected more from the Law of Pays and a preliminary disappointment has been created. The disappointment was intensified and took force and fire with a 105 pass to 110, despite BSPKS demands, but also the SBASK to be worth at least 130, not to become rich teachers but to cope more easily with life's challenges and investigate a slightly better salary hike. But unfortunately with this persistent, reluctant decision by the government Kurti, the two main characters Kurti-Monti values were said to be 110, which for the educational system would become an irreverent change, depreciated almost 28 to 29 euros different from the January salary to December”, he said.
Jasharaj said the Kosovo government is taking a wrong stance towards unions of all sectors. According to him, the government is also committed to shut down trade unions, reports EO.
For me and a thousand and a hundred arguments, we have this situation, not only in education but in other sectors at the blame of the Kurti government, with very wrong attitudes toward trade unions. Because when it has a wrong attitude toward unions it means attitude is to employees in the public sector and all employees in the public sector are state workers. I even have the conviction, Kurt and the government first made all the commitments to ending trade unions. This argument is argued because Mr. Hekuran without an analysis revealed all union members, said this process, even though it is by law, is no longer worth anyone to become a member and stop the bill's mandatory quota, let's register on e-Kosovo, hoping people have turned out a little disappointed by the strikes, hoping they have disappointment even with the law of salaries and will not be recorded. Iron Murati would gladly expect at least 10 per cent to have members in the sector and to announce that the union does not exist since the law says that there must be at least 10 per cent of employees in that sector to have a federation, he said.
