First Century Court of Corruption and Organised Crime ( G KCO has placed the measure of arrest at home for Albania's former prime minister, Sali Berisha.
Today, Berisha will remain under house arrest with police surveillance and have no communication with anyone other than his family at home.
It was Judge Irena Gjona who announced the JSKKO verdict this Saturday, even though earlier the former prime minister's defence lawyers said they delivered through mail, the request for her expulsion.
The Special Prosecutor has received authorisation from the Assembly to establish the arrest move against Sali Berisha, a person under investigation for the Partizan issue, due to the presentation, which he did not respect, in house arrest with police surveillance.
Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha is a person under investigation on the privatisation procedures of the former Sportist Partizan complex, which is suspected of passive corruption, favouring his groom, Jamarber Malltezi, one of the owners of that site, where a group of palaces were later built.
