Czech police released images from her operation Friday, as the attacker opened fire at the art faculty facility at Charles University in the Czech capital.
Prague Regional Police Staff Director Petr Macek said the gunman killed himself on the balcony of the university building when police officers approached him.
“We will analyse all film images and other materials. But, I think thanks to the fact that space was reduced and he had only one gun left to shoot away, while we were approaching him, he decided to commit suicide”, says Peter Macek, the Police Director in Prague.
The gunman is also suspected of killing another man and his 2-month-old daughter, who were found shot dead in the forest in a village on the outskirts of Prague last week, according to Czech authorities.
The Czech government declared Saturday days of mourning across the country to honour the victims.
White House spokeswoman Karin Jean-Pierre said Washington has offered support to Prague following shots that claimed the lives of at least 15 people and injured dozens more.
The federal authorities are in contact with the Czech authorities, while investigating this incident and we are willing to provide additional support as necessary”, Mrs. Karine Jean-Pierre said. / VOA/
