The Specialised Prosecutor's Office has called Thursday for indictees Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veselini and Rexhep Selimi, to be suspended visits and all communications, except with the lawyer's team.
According to the ZPS, they have violated the court's orders by revealing the identity of protected witnesses and/or the distribution of confidential testimony contents for those visiting them at the Pre-burging Centre.
The Specialised Prosecutor's investigations, according to the report, have revealed further efforts to prevent procedures by the accused, after allegedly having talked to visitors, instructing them to talk to potential witnesses, and showing them what to say, Time reports today.
For these reasons, the prosecution has demanded that Thaci, Veselin and Selimi suspend all communications, including family visits physically or through Zoom, written calls and communications. This will be in effect, according to the Prosecutor, until the court's ruling.
The SPS has ordered that there be active monitoring (from an Albanian-language speaker) of all non-privileged communications of the three indictees and the preservation of those data until the outcome of the trial.
The prosecution has demanded that privileged visits be limited to the team of lawyers.
Even the specialised prosecutor has demanded that the three accused be separated from the other detainees at the currently detention centre.
