Secretary NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, has declared after meeting with Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani, that the 24-September attack was a sign that conflicts could return to the Western Balkans.
“We had an important discussion about the security situation in Kosovo and the region. In September we saw a serious attack north of Kosovo”, Stoltenberg said.
KFOR soldiers were attacked in May. 93 soldiers were seriously injured and some of them at risk for life”, the first said NATO.
Stoltenberg said such acts are unacceptable and that those responsible must be brought to justice.
The North Atlantic Alliance chief welcomed the proposals made about the formation of the majority Serbian Communist Association.
“This would be a key step towards normalising relations and a lasting peace”, the chief said NATO after meeting with President Vjosa Osmani.
