Pristina's Municipal Assembly has held a solemn session on the Flag Day occasion. Albania's independence on November 28th 1912 was considered the value of all Albanian people, which has been won with great effort and suffering generations.
Capital Chairman Progress Rama said 28 November is a living testament to the stability of Albanians.
“28 November is much more than another date for us. It is a living testament to our endurance. It's the chronicle of the battles we've fought is the proclamation of independence, and it's the celebration of freedom that's so expensive for us. In this black red that envelops our entire earth and beyond that today waves wherever Albanians gather, we return to protagonists who broadcast a powerful symbol. This is the collective manifestation of our identity”, he said.
Meanwhile, assembly leader Pellumb Bajqinovci said freedom achieved on 28th November is the most valuable value and wealth of Albanians.
“The achieved license is our value and our most precious asset of our society, which is not forgiven, donated but has been earned with great effort and suffering of generations. During the difficult past, Albanians managed reasonably to protect their nation by preserving the blood of ancestors Illyrian”, he stressed.
On the other hand, there was also a case by Albania's ambassador to Kosovo, Petrit Malaj, who said this day is a symbol of the unification of Albanians and the will of sacrifices made by past generations.
This day has a profound significance for all Albanians, as we commemorate the spirit of freedom and unity that has defined our common history. As we gather here in the Pristina municipality, I remember the sustainability and strength shown by the people of Kosovo during their entire journey towards Independence. Today, not only do we celebrate Albania's independence but we are solidified with our brothers and sisters in Kosovo who have always shown steadfast determination and courage. Albania's Independence Day is more than a historic event. It is a symbol of the enduring soul that unites us as a people, a testament to the sacrifices made by past generations”, Malaj stressed.
On Flag Day, even the institutional leaders in Kosovo have congratulated him, until they have done their thing at the Adam Yashari memorial complex in Prekaz. /kp/
