The prime minister of Great Britain, Richie Sunak, stressed the ambition of the British state to strengthen support for Ukraine, during telephone conversation with President Zelensky, confirms Downing Street.
Sunak said that this means sending two Challenger tanks and additional artillery to Ukraine, reports the BBC.
“Prime Minister and President Zelensky welcomed other countries' commitments as Poland's bid to send Leopard tanks. The prime minister stressed that he, along with the British government, will work intensively with international partners to send aid, which will help Ukraine win this war and ensure peace”, a spokesman from Downing Street declares.
