However, these visas between Kosovo and Bosnia will not be removed until the ratification of these agreements in the two countries' Kuvendes. Bosnia and Herzegovina, except for Serbia, is the only country in the Western Balkans region that does not recognise Kosovo's independence, but recognises the passport as valid documents.
In addition to this, the two countries signed two more, the one for recognition of higher education qualifications and for recognition of the professional qualifications of doctors, dentists and architects.
E Kosovo is expected to make their ratification in the Assembly within a short time.
So he has declared Jeton Zulfaj, adviser to Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
“MPJD has made the necessary assessments and is expected to ratify the agreements in a short time of”, he said.
Zulfaj has said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora has accepted verified copies of the agreements by December 12th of last year from Northern Macedonia, which according to him is a deposit country.
“As far as the three mobility agreements are concerned with recognition of the qualifications of higher education institutions, the recognition of the professions of doctors, dentists and architects, as well as the one for free movement with IDs signed at the Berlin Summit in November last year under the Berlin Process, we emphasise that the MPJD has accepted copies with last December 12th of last year from North Macedonia, which is depositing”, he added.
According to him, the agreements take effect 30 days after the deposit of the third official ratification announcement.
The “therefore must at least three states hand over the ratification instruments to the deposit state and 30 days after this announcement the agreements are considered to be in force for states that have delivered the ratification instruments”, it concluded.
On this issue, Teve1.info has also sent questions to the Bosnia and Herzegovina Parliament, but the same so far has not returned.
The so-called Berlin Process is a format of annual meetings initiated by the German government since 2014, when a conference for the Western Balkans has been held in Berlin.
Its aim is to strengthen the European Union's co-operation with the Western Balkans and accelerate its integration into the EU.
