A new hail of Russian bombings has killed at least 10 Ukrainian civilians and injured 20 others in one day, the Ukraine president's office has said.
Regional officials said towns and villages in the east and south that are within Russian artillery potential have suffered more. Six people died in the Donnetsk region, two in Kherson and two in the Kharkiv region, officials said.
A day earlier, Russian missiles and self - moving drones were reportedly hit deeper in Ukrainian territory, killing at least 11 people, writes The Guardian.
Ukrainian troops were involved in the 24-x0-second tough fight with Russian forces on Friday for control of the town of Vugledar, southwestern Donnetsk in eastern Ukraine. The two sides claimed success in the small administrative centre -- a short distance from the Palivka village's strategic price, Agence France-Presse reported.
“S soon, Vugledar could become a new, very important success for us,” was quoted as saying Denis Pushil, leader of the Donetsk region, appointed by Moscow, by Russian news agencies.
But Kiev said the city remained controversial.
