“Serbia and RMV buy this from other countries and have extended the demand for co-operation, so by taking over our coal we can benefit a portion of the energy produced by them”, said Minister Belinda Balluk from Belgrade.
This is the option that the Open Balkan governments have chosen in the crisis that the energy system is going through, as Albanian underground hides large coal deposits.
“In our country we have deposits that reach 700 ml, it would be good to be used by our neighbours”, the minister said.
Unlike Albania, which produces electricity through water, from hydropower plants, in northern Macedonia and Serbia, the current is produced by fossil fuels, a form that increases gas emissions in the atmosphere.
