He has said his state is now in a difficult position, as he says it does not have “understanding” for the position of Serbs in the world.
“on the world stage has taken place tectonic changes and Serbia is in an extremely difficult situation and there is less understanding of the position of Serbia and our people anywhere in the world. There are almost no representatives of large countries we haven't talked to, he said, B92.
He has predicted increasing pressure on his country by Western powers.
I have personally talked with representatives of the US and EU, with Ursula von der Layeen, with the presidents of France and Germany. I've exchanged messages with European Council leaders for our votes and everything else. Serbia is facing great pressure and the fact that few people want to hear your argument, then you understand how difficult our position is. I think this is just the beginning, the pressure on our country will be enormous in the coming period. I expect there will be traps for Serbia in the coming period. You saw that Albanians applied for NATO membership, you saw them receiving the support of a force like Turkey”, he said.
The Vuciq has also spoken of the state of Kosovo, which he says will be admitted to the UN following recent developments. He added that Resolution 1244 would come to an end.
The next “will be Russia's UN exclusion. They plan to start a disagreement under Article 6. Then it opens the door for the change of Resolution 1244, after which we no longer have legal grounds and will follow recognition of Kosovo independence”, he said.
The second part of the problem follows, further endangering Serbia's economic interests. Serbia has maintained its position in the past days as well. Of the total of 13 acts, we voted for 4, we didn't vote for nine. These are statements meant by imposing various sanctions on Russia. We have always joined the condemnation of Ukraine's integrity, we believe this is Serbia's responsible position. Our position will be even more difficult because our economy is growing faster in the region and in Europe”, he added.
