Grace represented with initials “KOS” in the fanele, as she competed at 1500m and made 17th out of 19 racers, with 4 minutes and 28.40 seconds.
The cause of Kosovo, the organiser and the International Athletics Federation, had decided that no flag of any participating state would appear in the stadium.
However, neither did the Serbian registry display Kosovo's flag in the name of the racer, but only shortie “KOS”
In this regard, the Kosovo Olympic Committee announced yesterday that, together with the Kosovo Athletic Federation, they immediately complained at the International Athletics Federation and the International Olympic Committee.
However, the Serbian registry does not appear to be the only one that “ejected” the Kosovo state flag.
Our flag doesn't even figure in the official results published on the official website of the International Athletics Federation “World Athletics”.
