Vuciq reacts to ban on Serbian Patriarch Porfirije to enter Kosovo

Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, though he has not specified what move it is about, has said that “will take all measures to protect the Serbian people in northern Kosovo”. Dear citizens of Serbia, we are doing our utmost to maintain peace and stability. Unfortunately, they did not want to listen to us or be very interested in listening. Today even Patriarch Porfirije has been barred from entering Kosovo, this has never happened in history...”, Vuciq said, writes Serbian media.

Otherwise, Kosovo police at the border crossing with Serbia in Merdar today around 14:30 has not allowed the car with Serbian Patriarch Porfirije to enter Kosovo.

The patriarch has reportedly come by car from Serbia and has been barred from entering into accordance with the Foreign Law and on the basis of the Kosovo Government's decision.

Thus, the patriarch has been in the car for several minutes on the side controlled by Kosovo police, then returned to Kursumli.

While talking about the barricades, the Serbian president has said they are only signs of discontent, Serbian media write.

“But they will continue to talk about Serbian barricades, which are a sign of discontent...”, he has further said.
