U.d. Specialised Prosecutor calls <x0fit for justice and its victims” Sali Mustaf's sentence

Special Prosecutor Alex Whiting's Task Agent welcomed today's decision in judging Salih Mustaf as a measure of justice to the victims and welcomed the courage of witnesses who witnessed before the Special Chambers.

Mr. Mustafa was found guilty of four counts of war crimes -- arbitrary maintenance; torture; and murder, and sentenced to 26 years in prison.

All the victims were Kosovo Albanians, some of whom had been joined The KLA voluntarily because they strongly believed in the fight for Kosovo's independence.

Mr. Mustafa was arrested on September 24th 2020 by the SPS following the release of an arrest warrant, a transfer order and an indictment confirmed by a judge of the preliminary procedure of Kosovo's Specialised Chambers.

The trial began on September 15th 2021, and the SPS closed its case on February 4th, 2022. Z The SP presented countertests on June 1st 2022 and the testing presentation procedure ended on June 2022.
