Minister Aliu confirms that the MF has means for Podujevo-Pristina road

Minister Aliu said he has said he has received a declaration on the availability of means by Finance Minister Iron Murati regarding the Podujevo-Pristina road project.

According to him, the cost of the project would total 38m euros, until it added that 22.3m euros in budget forecasts have been made.

So no longer just the section of the road from Loushhan to Podujevo, but also the section of the road from Llushan to the entrance of Pristina, in the village of Brnica, respectively. The segment will be five tears, 16km from Loushhan to Brnica will be divided into four tears, and the fifth tear is the end of the road from Lousehan to Podujevo, which makes up the segment of 9 km”, he said.

Deputy Prime Minister Hysen Durmish said that there have been major problems in building this road due to no expropriation.

He said he believes contracts will be signed by spring and the works will begin.

“In the realisation of contracts works, there has been a lot of procrastination, the reason has been problems with the project, and the biggest problem has been the issue of expropriation. There have been signed contracts without expropriation procedures for this we've had a lot of problems”.

We are convinced that we will not start a prosecutorial procedure until the expropriation procedure is complete. In the spring we'll have signed contracts and works” start, he said.

Durmish said he is not satisfied with the quality of roadwork throughout Kosovo, but, according to him, they are working to improve quality.

Podujevo Mayor Shqim said he feels happy that the means to complete the work were shared, reports EO.
