Kosovo police come out with communique for Serb protest in North

“Today, in northern Mitrovica, has been warned to hold a protest/unillusion, so in this regard the Kosovo Police recognise the right to public gatherings through peaceful protest, according to the official task of maintaining public order and calm, as well as tasks defined under the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo”, it is said in the communique.

Police have enabled citizens to have increased attention and attention during the call of this protest, to protest calmly and not to fall prey to possible provocations of whatever nature they are”.

Police commitments in strengthening public order and security, providing security to citizens, as well as the company of police measures that confirm the situation and developments in the country's north will continue to remain among the primary objectives and tasks of the Kosovo Police.

Today, in northern Mitrovica, a protest/commission has been warned to be held, so in this regard Kosovo Police recognised the right to public rally through peaceful protest, according to the official duty of maintaining order and public calm, as well as duties defined under the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo.

Given the fragile circumstances and security situation created by criminal groups in the north of the country and the tendency to destabilise the situation, Kosovo Police invite citizens to have increased attention and attention along the call of this protest, to protest calmly and not to succumb to possible provocations of whatever nature they may be.
