KFOR Commander: We have engaged additional troops and patrols in northern Kosovo

General Riztuccia, through a communique, has said that KFOR has full capacity, including personnel, to provide a secure environment and freedom of movement for all communities, throughout Kosovo, under its mandate based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244.
“Since October, we have reinforced our presence, including with additional troops and patrols in northern Kosovo this week”, General Ristuccia said.
He has said that the “expect all actors to co-ordinate with KFOR and refrain from provocative performance of force, to ensure the safety of all communities”.
“We encourage all sides to engage constructively to enable security and freedom of movement in Kosovo”.
“KFOR will continue to fulfil its mandate under the 1999 Resolution 1244 for all communities in Kosovo. Solutions should be sought through dialogue”, the KFOR commander has said.
