Infrastructure Minister Belinda Balluk has explained today's evening on the “Opion” show at Tv Klan that the new route expected to be finalised Kashar-Lekaj will enable the fastest access of Kosovo to southern beaches.
Balluk said that with the changes made, this axis will be covered for 25 minutes along with Tirana's new Bypas, which according to it is a completed project.
Balluk: It's a whole new street, no connection to the trace, and it's a big connection to Rinas. As the existing road currently does not meet any conditions. It goes all the way to Kashar, as here is where the most important infrastructure node is created in terms of all highways.
Fevziu: Rinas?
BallukYes, and a structure that goes through the airport. Then Rinas goes on to Kashar, where the tears are completely new. We have Kasar, Little Pesa, this is an old military route...
Fevziu: I mean, I used to, but it's all turning around.
BallukIt's true, but it's gonna come out here with tunnels and bridges.
FevziuAgain highway? From Kasar... where do you go?
BallukAgain the highway goes back to Lekay...
Fevziu: So to access the south, or you'll come to Durres and you'll continue, or you'll take Elbasan Street and come down to Rrogozhina...
BallukThen from Kasar comes out to Lekaj.
Fevziu: But how will Kasar relate to the rest of Tirana?
Balluk: Through Tirana's Bypass.
Fevziu: Will there be a new Bypas?
Balluk: Kasar's curve, passing to the Mazrek area, to the City Park, to be clearer to citizens, is Tirana's Bypas, which accesss Arbana, connected to the highway.
Fevziu: So there's gonna be a new ring, a question about how many Kashar-Lecajs if built?
BallukIt's estimated in 25 minutes, along with Bypas.
Fevziu: They haven't started work yet?
Balluk: Not yet technical works are being done, the tender has begun, is a completed project funded by the European Union with 91m euros available.
Fevziu: Pristina to land on the southern beaches that northern ones have access will go about half the time it takes today? And Saranda and other areas?
Balluk: But it's the same story, from Lekay somewhere in the Kavaja area, we go down and follow the corrodor, we guard the trail, down to Fier's Bypass. The new link that is made preserving the trace and removing the curves of the fence.
FevziuSo is the highway moving straight?
Balluk: There will be alternative roads on both sides of the highway since this project from Moorcan to the exit will have alternative routes, so the contracts are connected. Free to go home.
Fevziu-Alius: How long do you go to the Albanian coast with the new structure?
AliTwo and a half hours in Durres and three hours in Vlora.
Fevziu: Meanwhile, Kosovo with new improvements in two and a half hours is on the coast, right? In Durres I speak that north comes out faster.
Ali: With this change mentioned for three hours, we go to Rrogozhina.
Fevziu: Yeah, and by the new way you can access the coast under Vlora.
