Durmish: Durres-Pristina Railway Project More Important Than Nation Road

Deputy Transport Minister Hysen Durmishi has said on the dPt show at Fidan in T7 that the Durres Railway Project -Pristina will be more important than the Nation's Way.

He has added that this project will make Pristina the centre of the railway network in the Western Balkans.

The “will be more important than the Nation Street. Because it makes Pristina the centre of railway transport in the Western Balkans. The current railway, which is in Tivar, runs until Belgrade, takes 13 hours to reach Belgrade. The moment we make the railway from Shkodra to Gjakova, I say so because it's Durres-Pristina and the goods going to Tivar will use the port in Shkodra, or I say Durres will be a lot faster in Pristina. The speed will be 80 km per hour and will reach in an hour and a half from Shkodra to Gjakova”, he said.
