The Uruguayn striker was hoping to end his long no-go performance on a trip to the Champions League, but was unable to show his influence against the Chelsea and was replaced in the 59th minute to leave Angel Correas where Atletico Madrid was losing 2:0.
As he left the field, Suarez smiled with irony, although he was evidently angry.
He passed by coach Diego Simeone, who was focused on the game, and sat down on the stairs of the stadium and removed his socks and angry defenders.
Although he has shown a fantastic form in La League helping Atleticos to be the current leader, Suarezi has failed to score goals in this season of the Champions League.
