He believes the right of the Coronavirus crisis has shown Serbia's position in regional and international relations and the position of Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq.
“It is a new kind of doctrine of Aleksandar Vuciqi, even accepted in Brussels a new, innovative approach to solving regional problems, and he began it a little over two years ago when he visited French President Emmanuel Macron and when he said he no longer represents Serbia, but is seeking to help other countries in the region”, Becirov said.
He indicated that the EU should show much more sensitivity to Western Balkan countries and added that he expects Slovenia to try to force Western Balkan countries to join the EU quickly and in a package during its 1 July EU presidency.
Becirovic also believes that the end of problems between Pristina and Belgrade in a legally binding agreement should have a provision saying that on the day of signing the agreement, Kosovo and Serbia become EU members.
I don't think anyone in Serbia will sign another agreement that would provide some empty guarantees in the unpredictable future. There, the EU can correct all its mistakes to the region and to Serbia for many decades with this provision in a legally binding” agreement, Becirovic says.
