She recently wrote an open letter to every girl and woman who is in trouble or needs a sign she'd come up with.
Dear girls,
For whatever course you choose to follow in life, I have only two things to say: Work hard and don't give up even when things seem impossible.
There will be disappointments. Even locked doors and groups of people who will make their way through hard times. But that's nice. Every previous challenge turns into the next lesson.
Gather your difficulties and transform them into strength. You dare dream and run hard after your dream. I used to hope I wasn't the only gold medalist in Kosovo. From Tokyo we also returned with two gold medals. Now Kosovo has three. I could not be happier and more proud than that, since Nora and Distria became gold from the last Olympics. I strongly believe that I have only been the first of many gold medals to come for Kosovo. Yours, Michaelda Kelmendini, collect the difficulties and turn them into strength. You dare dream and run hard after your dream.
