Before departure, Hoti said his expectations were positive given the meetings he has held so far in the US, while the Serbian president acknowledged it would be a difficult meeting, but said Serbia would not surrender.
Shortly after arriving at the White House, Serbian media write that the Serbian president was put on the table to recognise Kosovo.
B92 writes that Vuciq already has the letter for Kosovo recognition.
Finance Minister Sinisa Mali said there is a letter on the table at the White House meeting, a point of which implies mutual recognition of Serbia and Kosovo, and that there is great pressure on President Vuciq.
“We have never received a worse letter since negotiations with Pristina began. The “had 16 points on the paper, on the table, out of which 10 points imply mutual recognition,” Mali told reporters, adding that there were very few economic themes.
We remember that the Serbian president has repeatedly, and today has declared that there will be no mutual recognition and that Serbia will remain in this position.
