The Association of Kosovo Journalists (AGK), deems the language used by the AAK chairman, simultaneously the country's former prime minister, Ramush Haradinaj, in front of journalists.
Haradinaj last night (7 August), in a controversial show called “zagars”, journalists reporting from Washington, saying that many of them are mercenaries for “with a motorcycle to attack”.
When they told me that they were going to attack me, they immediately let their dogs on their backs, they're a lot of mercenary journalists on a motorcycle. I was immediately attacked, in a second as if I opposed Wajan, see the proposals of our journalists in Kosovo who have gone there, Serbian journalists do not. Serbian journalists, they protect Vucinqi. Journalists who were in Washington, look at the status sites...”, Haradinaj said among other things.
And for AGK, it's disturbing that journalists are still preyed to such links. Labels like these from the country's former prime minister for the Association of Kosovo Journalists are completely unacceptable and seriously violate freedom of expression.
“The AGK calls on state representatives and political leaders to recognise the role of journalists in a democratic society and refrain from exercising pressure on them. Each attack on journalists is an attack on public interest and democracy in the country”, the AGK's response said. /Periscopi/
