Some 40 infected children have received hospital treatment at the Clinic of Pediatrics so far, until, according to the director, a 2-month-old baby is considered the youngest child infected by COVID-19.
And in the ward, which has been divided from July to treat children with COVID-19, currently only one child in good health is being treated.
This Wednesday, however, eight other children have been tested as suspects with COVID-19.
Temperature, vomiting, diarrhea and pneumonia are the main symptoms shown in the affected children, similar symptoms similar to other infections, which, according to the director of the Clinical Clinic, Drita Qosaj-Telak create difficulties in diagnosis.
Telaku has said that recent days have increased the number of children who are sick and in need of hospital treatment.
However, she has added that children are equally endangered by COVID-19 as adults and can carry it the same as adults.
