LDK's Rugova proposes two names for Kosovo president

The official from the Democratic League of Kosovo, Naser Rugova, has said academics such as Rexhep Ismajli or Yusuf Bujowi would be brilliant candidates for the president's position.

Rugova on one of the local televisions has added that any presentation of Ismajli or Bujowi in the international arena would do the state and the people of Kosovo honour.

“Sometimes literal intellectuals who understand political processes, history and diplomacy” are needed.

For example, brilliant candidates for president could be academic Rexhep Ismalji and Yusuf Bujowi”.

“Who can counter these from the aspect of knowledge of political processes?”

“have been part of that idea of Kosovo's concept as an independent state, speak foreign languages, have deep knowledge, have personal friendships both at the diplomatic level and intellectual level”.

“simply are not active in political parties, but both are close to LDK and at certain moments have made distance and can contribute, they can unify the people”.

Rugova has added that there are many other personalities who have knowledge, courage, the will for the Kosovo issue to take away and open up new prospects for Kosovo youth.

Every presentation of them in the international arena honors us as state and people. I mentioned these two names because I have political and intellectual courage. In LDK the culture of debate and proposal is not censored”.

We're tired of politicians from a little bit of color; so I mentioned those two personalities. I also know dozens of such personalities that would draw the political subjects”.

I think it would be political liberation for political subjects to accept such personalities. It would be a quality decision that would greatly help this country and open up new concepts. It would be a powerful message to international friends”
