Ishmael PDK: Minister Zemaj became a partner of pharmaceutical crime with the abolition of drug price instruction

During the term, how much health minister was the Ismaili Bridge, approved the administrative directive, which hit the nemceutic criminal market and saved about 12m euros for citizens who for years had been manipulated at abusive prices of herbs.

Former Minister Uran Ismaili said that with the abolition of this administrative instruction, Minister Armund Zemaj has become a partner of pharmaceutical crime.

At a time when all the attention of public opinion is focused on the horror that the pandemic is causing, Minister Armend Zemaj has decided to become a partner of the drug purchase crime at abusive prices.

Today, he has abolished the arrangement that would enable the ban on plundering citizens and only during my mandate saved over 12m euros in drug purchase.

Robbers and thieves of organized crime who have benefited millions at the expense of sick patients are turning powerfully. This is extremely shocking, and for this all of us should be mobilized against evil.

The power of the Administrative Guide to regulate and unify the price of medicines by Minister Zemaj is equivalent to a criminal act.

Along with the World Health Organization and their center for reference prices, I have worked without stopping for two consecutive years to create a legal basis for our citizens not to pay multiple higher prices for the same drugs.

In the absence of this document, for 20 years the Republic of Kosovo has bought over 6m euros more expensive in hospital medicine within the year, while our citizens have been being stripped financially by spending about 10m euros in drugs per year.

On behalf of the pandemic, far from public sight, they first linked contracts to abusive prices, while corruption is now being legalized with the destruction of one of the most fundamental reforms in health history.

Before I signed the Administrastration Guide to regulate and unify the price of medicines, Kosovo and Belarus were the only countries in Europe that had not adjusted the prices of drugs.

The instruction would stop anyone offering at higher prices than at the market. To prevent any kind of price abuse, the instruction envisions price comparisons with countries in the region Albania, Macedonia, Croatia, Montenegro and a favourable price for citizens. As a result, we would have lower prices, more medicines, more stable supplies, budget savings and healthier lives.

I am urgently looking to the Government to abolish this decision he has made and to show how it is possible that instead of fighting pandemic, he is fighting good things and is lined up side by side with the pharmaceutical crime that has plagued us every day.
