Forum for Ethnic Relations Chairman Dusan Janjic said the Kosovo issue cannot be resolved in the coming months, because, as he said, it is a complex problem that has been going on for decades and will be resolved.
Commenting on the first preliminary results of the parliamentary elections in Serbia, he said on TV Prva that the president of this country, Aleksandar Vuciq, was right when he said it was important that they achieve a significant victory and that they would have a large number of MPs, because, he says, it has to do with many efforts to resolve the Kosovo issue, the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia's EU engagement.
Following such a convincing victory by the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) he expects great pressure on Vuciki to speed up the solution of the Kosovo issue, considering that, as he said, “all power will be in his hands”.
Janzic said the topic of partitioning Kosovo's territory is not new, it is always there, he says, but will not be at the table in Washington on 27 June. He claims that the topic of partitioning Kosovo's territory will never be a topic in the United States, but it can revive the issue of “demarkation, thus demarcation”.
Speaking of the new Avdullah Hoti government, he says it was formed quickly but skillfully, and that there are American students in it, as well as British and French students.
According to Ynjiqi, now is the time for Serbia to deal with itself. Now, he says, there are no more political excuses and stories about problems.
As a possible solution, he gave three ideas a dialogue on demarcation, which cannot be overcome, the other is the status quo, which most of them want, and that, according to him, will be the biggest problem for Vucinate and ultimately normalisation.
At the same time, he stresses, when it comes to normalisation, it must be fought for the change for the solution to be treated as recognition, and not to be recognition, and he mentioned “the acceptance of existence” as an example.
And the second is, Janjic added, how to do the principles of demarcation without being ethnic and to meet economic interests, security interests and other interests.
