British Airways airline wants to sell part of its art collection in order to improve its finances, damaged by the health crisis.
“British Airways requested an auction house to assess several pieces displayed in its waiting rooms, including some of the British artists, such as Damian Hirsst, Peter Doig and Bridget Riley”, said a source near the issue.
One of the works is estimated at over a million pounds.
In all, there are 10 works to be sold.
According to the source, the idea came from a company employee who aims to explore all opportunities to preserve her finances and her work.
