The event took place about a week ago, when protests for George Floyd were boiling across the country.
The African-American father and son, they went swimming in the sea. But a strong wave pulled the boy, and Dad tried to stay close until his energy ran out.
Father and his two - year - old son began swimming deep in the sea. But within minutes, a strong wave pulled the young boy and his father out into the open sea. Father tried to stay close to the boy but later ran out of energy.
Albanian-born officer Ermir Vila, though out of service, did not think twice about going to help. For a few minutes, he managed to take both of them ashore.

After a few minutes of effort, he managed to get his father and son ashore. According to Chief of Police Paul Dezzi, if the kid hadn't had an aid tires to swim, he would have drowned.
Officer Vila has been praised with a “Medal of Honour” for his heroism. As some of the American media write, everyone has been impressed by the modesty of the Albanian.
After returning home from vacation, Vila tried to maintain his low profile and not respond to calls from journalists seeking to write about his heroism.
“I did a human duty as an ordinary man, this is about my profession, I don't want fame, I don't want a name” he said.
Willa says that she does not deserve any particular attention to what she has done.
