Now it's official: Carlos Sainz will compete with Ferrari from next season, instead of Sebastian Vettel. The Maranellos team, in fact, has announced the accord with the new Spanish pilot, the 2021 and 2022 seasons, as Charles Leclerc's supportive pilot.
Born in Madrid on September 1st 1994, Carlos has already accumulated a significant experience in the Forum 1 World Championship in which he developed 102 Great boots in the bow of five years, taking the sixth position in the flight classification in 2019, the year in which it has climbed for the first time even to the podium, with third place reached at Brazil's Grand Prize.
Carlos Sainz has thus fulfilled his dream, competing for Ferraris at F1, but remains on the ground even because he still needs to be engaged this year with McLaren. I'm so happy to be able to race for the Ferrari Square by 2021 and I'm excited to think about the future with this team. I still have an important year to compete with McLaren Racing and I look forward to my return to competing in this” season, the Spaniard explained.
