During the last 24 hours in Albania, 200 citizens have been tested as suspects affected by Covid19 and eight cases have been confirmed positive.
The geographical distribution of cases is as follows: 5 cases in Tirana, 2 in Durres and 1 in Kruje, contacts of previous positive cases. There are six citizens.
Over 14,000 molecular and serological testings were conducted from the beginning of the epidemic. So far, 989 citizens with COVID-19 have been confirmed positive. Of them, about 79% are healed. In our country currently there are 175 active persons with COVIDD19, mainly in Tirana, Durres Kruje, Shkodra”, said Dr. Rowena Daya from the Institute of Public Health.
Fortunately for the past three weeks, there has been no loss of life from Ovid 19 and for the Institute of Public Health this is an indicator showing the sustainability of this epidemic outbreak.
