Bislimi of PDK: Governments manipulate numbers, Kosovo has more epidemiologists per capita than highly developed countries

The deputy head of the Kosovo Democratic Party for Youth, which is also a doctor, Donjet Bislimi, has reacted to statements by outgoing government representatives that Kosovo does not have enough experts and therefore has no capacity to do more. In his post to the Facebook network, Bislimi said this is a false excuse used by Vetevendosje officials to hide the government's failure with the test case. It submits US statistical data where there were 0.72 epidemiologists for 100,000 people, while Kosovo 22 per 100,000 or 69% more.

He also notes that the government's excuses are not valid because there are not enough experts to run more tests. We are in the midst of the worldwide epidemic. While many other countries have crossed the cake, Kosovo is only tightening the measures, and the curve continues to rise. One of the main solutions recommended by the World Health Organization is the addition and frequency of tests. The Kosovo government has not only found itself at the bottom of Europe's list for the number of tests, but also lied several times about them and humiliated Kosovo by accepting 1,000 charity tests from Serbia.

Throughout this period, the Democratic Party of Kosovo has acted constructively and has proposed the company of a comprehensive mass testing campaign. But our voice has fallen on deaf ears. Still missing the necessary tests that would reveal early-stage cases and help better management.

Kosovo's banned government is justifying any remarks with the claim that this situation was inherited, blaming previous governments for the situation. This is funny because today there are also tests for Covid 19 around the world that can self-manage and be sent by mail.

The government is covering with the argument that Kosovo is left with few experts, which is completely untrue. It can even be said that Kosovo has over 500 doctors who are still not finding work within Kosovo, among them I am involved as a trained doctor. Not to mention many others who are being forced to leave in northern Europe.

There are 22 epidemiologists for the entire country, and this is said to be a very small number, which is independent. A simple internet research shows that Kosovo actually has more epidemiologists per capita than the United States itself. As this scientific study and hundreds of similar ones can show, the United States has an average of 0.72 epidemiologists per 100,000, while (22 for 1.8 million people) while Kosovo has 1.22 epidemiologists for 100,000 people. Also, the dismissed Prime Minister Kurti and the outgoing health minister Vitita have said many times that the current capacity of our institutions cannot afford more than that much testing and that there are not enough staff to use the RT- PCR. The current method requires genetic material of the virus (ARN) in patient cells. To detect the presence of ARN in patient's champion, labs perform a test called RT- PCR (reversion polymerase chain action). The test in question does not require the production of <x1 spacecraft” as the Minister Vitita has included in the allowed businesses in Kosovo, but it is an easy and improved technique for hundreds of people who have studied biology or medicine in Kosovo. In the end, all claims that there are no experts are clean fraud. In Kosovo, there are simply no tests because this government has failed to purchase them. This is the direct responsibility of the dismissed government, and after the pandemic this issue also requires a parliamentary investigation into finding the responsibilities of this serious human cost neglect.
