Tragic: Eight football players die after the bus on which they were traveling was seriously accidentd

A bus accident has caused the death of at least eight second division football players in Guinea, Etoile de Guinea, while 17 others have been injured.

The accident occurred in Mamou City, about 250 miles [250 km] from the capital of Conakry. The team was on their way to Canclan, in what was originally the first game of the season.

Details of the accident have still been published, but reports indicate that among the injured are in serious condition.

Thursday's incident marks the second fatal accident of a Chinese squad in recent months. On January 30, three people had died when the Wakriya team bus was involved in an accident.
